Melba Pattillo Beals, Jackie Robinson, and Feng Ru all helped change their countries while going through life changing events and challenges. Jackie Robinson explains how he went through these challenges and life changing event by writing his autobiography I Never Had It Made. Melba Pattillo Beals explains her challenges and life changing event by writing her autobiography Warriors Don’t Cry. Lastly, Rebecca Maksel describes Feng’s challenges by writing a nonfiction book called “The Father Of Chinese Aviation”. All these characters overcame life-changing events and challenges and while doing so changed their country.

“ The machine he is taking is of his own construction.” (Maksel) Feng Ru was very independant and did things himself. Events that challenged Feng Ru were death, poverty, long hours awake, having learn on his own, factory was not big enough, and the San Francisco earthquake. Maksel states “ Jammed into small places were tools, books, journals, airplane parts, and Feng Ru himself, who rarely finished his work before three am.”(Maksel) Feng Ru responded to these events by working with determination and courage. He finally finished an airplane for the Chinese. This caused him to become more knowledgeable and more positive. His reactions helped his country China, because they were able to gain his knowledge of airplanes. Feng Ru was a determined immigrant from China who was inspired by the Wright Brothers to build and fly an airplane.
Lastly,Feng Ru,Melba Pattillo Beals, and Robinson all faced obstacles full of danger andin the end impacted their country.. They faced violence ,threats ,racial slurs, and many other acts of violence. These three people were nobodies until someone or themselves encouraged them and in the end impacted their countries. Maybe one day you can be like one of these inspiring people and change your
