When first starting out, you are bound to be living on the road and it may me hard to settle down during your early years. Maintaining stability in relationships may be hard, and with a family, it can be extremely difficult to balance. Another significant factor is the salary these kind of jobs offer. An amateur that has just graduated may start off making approximately $30,000 annually. Although the starting pay is particularly low, you can work your way up to making over $100,000 per year. I have worked on two major projects so far and I am now moving onto my third, which happens to be the most momentous. We are initiating a documentary based on human sex trafficking in the United States and will be interviewing many preeminent officials such as the FBI and undercover detectives. So far we have only planned out our production, but we begin filming next week. Despite the fact that I enjoy documenting notable controversies in our society, I have also recently taken interest in the pop-culture side of journalism. One career path I looked into was becoming a hostess of a TV show. I like the idea of having the ability to be myself and do what I love to do at the same time. The biggest goal of mine is to become an anchor or reporter on the Good Morning America show or The Today show. Crossing over into this field will be much more interactive and light-hearted, which is something that I believe would make my life more pleasant than covering breaking news everyday. I have decided that I’d like to start off in live television while I’m young and lively. As I become older and more experienced, I want to travel the world and report from foreign countries.
