Doug MacLeod’s ‘I’m Being Stalked by a Moonshadow’ is an astounding novel, aimed for adolescents aged between 12 and 15. The publication of this book was in 2006 by the ‘Penguin Group', and it consists of 205 pages. Doug MacLeod’s novel centers on the theme of romance and teenage drama. Loving and being attracted to someone usually starts when people are teengers and thats why the author has aimed the book at boys and girls aged 12 and 15. The significant characters include Seth Parrot, Jack Parrot, Mr. and Mrs. Parrot, Miranda Raven, and Jeff Raven. The novel is written in the perspective of Seth Parrot, who is timid around girls, is not as good looking as his brother and loves to have fun with his parents. Zilla Parrot and Eric Parrot, are the mother and father of two teenage boys, Seth and Jack, who are hippies with an open, nurturing heart. Zilla is a professional organiser and works at the Shared Learning Center (SLC) and is very respectful even to those she does not cherish, on the other hand, Eric is an I.T architect whom girls fancy and has a bad attitude towards Mr. Raven. Just like his dad, Jack Parrot has movie star looks whom girls adore, is selfish and is very self-conscious. Mr. Raven is the father of Miranda Raven. He likes things to go his way and his way only, despite that, he is a loving, but an overprotective father to Miranda. Love is evident throughout the story but is most evident when Seth meets Miranda. His world changes and he learns to do things that he hasn't done because of his love that has grown for Miranda, for instance he tries to follow the 'Mr Right' list . Love is also shown between Eric Parrot and Zilla Parrot. They have a strong bond at the start of the book but when they start a quarrel, their love shrinks.
