This song fits well with the poem At The San Francisco Airport because it is about a father letting go of his daughter. In the poem the father is sad that is daughter is leaving home in order to peruse bigger and better things in life. The father feels like time has passed him by, and he missed out on her growing up. Now that it is time to say goodbye and let his daughter move on he is struggling, he doesn’t want to let go but he know it is for the best.
