I Love You Now Change Character Analysis

In the musical I Love You, You’re Perfect. Now Change directed by Jerry Lee, the musical explores the concept of love. The thing that is being explored is how love is being used in multiple situations from positive to negative. The musical does teach lessons and include common problem when it comes to love. The problems that was being covered are things like expectations, miscommunications, bonding with parents, and life. Overall, the musical itself is enjoyable. I like the synopsis is easy to understand and fun. The paper response will respond to the concept of the musical itself. Now Change musical, the setting is a small stage. I find it fascinating that the transition of both the wardrobe and the props of the show is efficient. The transactions of the wardrobe are efficient because of the type of costume they use. The type of costume that this musical use is common clothing that an average Joe or Jill wears day by day. Clothing like t-shit or jeans to name a couple. The only type of clothing that is unique and it’s not worn on a day to day bases are attires that are worn in weddings such as wedding dress and special suits for the men. This contributes to the transitions because there are types of clothing that can be changed quickly for scene change. In the musical, the wardrobe changes within the show was fast and efficient. I like that transition because the efficiency is good and the show runs better with this efficiency. Another transition that I found good is the transition for the props for a particular scene. The transition for the props is so fast and clean to the point that the scene can be changed and ready for the actors to proceed to the next scene. I like those transitions because it keeps the musical running and it won’t have problems to the point the show has to stop the show. The larger props are sofa like chairs and table that has rolling wheels. The wheels allow faster placements to change the setting for the show.
