I Love Piano Research Paper

I was thoroughly frustrated because I did not understand rhythm or the dots and lines on the paper. In all my years of playing piano, I practiced the bare minimum for auditions and recitals alike, and that thoroughly frustrated my parents and my teacher. I had never liked practicing piano, but that changed in middle school when I happened upon a Chinese movie called Secret. Not only was I in love with the movie, I loved the soundtrack even more. Normally, I do not notice the background music of movies, but Secret had such compelling music that I bought the piano book containing all of the music themes. I showed my piano teacher the book, and she loved the music and she shared it with her other students. I was also inspired by an anime called …show more content…
However, I soon realized that I have a strong passion towards playing. I am always looking for new music to play and I binge on YouTube pianist channels in my free time. I continued to teach myself new techniques through watching these personalities and I thought to myself, “Why not share the love?” What better way to share my love of piano than to teach other eager students who want to learn piano as well? The end of being a music student has inspired me to create a club, an environment where I can teach students my age who want to play piano but never had the chance to. The club helped me remember what learning piano was like as a child: infuriating and slightly rewarding. My students would always start out eager to learn, but they soon realize that learning piano is a very slow process that takes time. Nonetheless, I encourage them to keep trying, and they surprise themselves with their progress over a few months. In the beginning, I never liked playing piano. I did not have the discipline to sit down and practice for even a good half hour, but now I have to teach other students to be patient and let the practice sink in. I never thought that I would be teaching students how to play piano, one of my past dreaded activities. But now as I am older, I find that I appreciate piano a lot more because I recognized the beauty that these various artists wanted to convey. Through my efforts in the Piano Starters Club, I want the school community to understand and appreciate music a little bit more every

When I entered the education landscape, I was foreign to the ideas and the nature of those that saw themselves as something more than just a student. I never thought that those students that sat behind the deteriorating desks could educate themselves. Ergo, as I transferred from middle school to high school, I began to discover those students that were seen as insignificant if I wanted to succeed within what was previously taught to me as the “real world”. Yet, it was through those encounters with those strange and unique individuals where I was exposed to something pure. I remember the first time I was ever exposed to music as an educational structure for me to discover myself in.…

So back to the question, how much can an individual be off by when trying to get a specific note? When I played my violin, my music teacher could tell when a specific note is flat or sharp because the sound would be different. This could mean your finger could be less than a half a centimeter away and there could still be a difference in the sound. The mathematics of the frequency and vibration of violin strings are examples of mathematics that are used in our world today.…
