I Love Introspection Analysis

Improved Essays
I love introspection. I do it daily, thinking about how to fix the problems we have in society. I also think about how I can improve my personality and my relationships with other people's personalities. I find I demonstrated my growth by building relationships with people at Marist. I've sought constantly for someone who wants to think about the seemingly impossible and disconnected things in the world.

I encountered several weaknesses along the way, such as the inability to strike up conversation or find people like myself. I continue to fix these by being more brave and making topics to talk about before hand. I have stopped over-analyzing as much, and I also have found more precisely what type of people I want to get to know.

In our world today, money is seen to be something that is needed to be successful or happy in life. People with less money tend to look up to those with more money in that way. In the short story, "Why, You Reckon?" Langston Hughes uses a colored man's point of view in a pre-Civil Rights Movement Era to show that even if someone has money, it doesn't mean they have a happy life. Money is the center of anything and everything today.…

1.I think sympathetic introspection has shapes my life as it shapes all other people’s lives in the world. “….sym- pathetic introspection, putting himself into intimate contact with various sorts of persons and allowing them to awake in himself a life similar to their own, which he afterward, to the best of his ability, recalls and describes” (Social Consciousness, Cooley 677). In many ways introspective sympathy has shaped my sense of self. It is everywhere it is in our daily lives, at our jobs, at our schools, at the social media accounts we have and it is in the relationships we have. For example my husband keeps telling me how unorganized and messy I am at first I did not want to accept that…

Wellness Assessment Paper Two results that were surprising or helpful to me were my physical nutrition subtotal and financial average because I didn’t think that I was doing okay financially and doing everything right. Also, my physical nutrition was a surprise to because I thought I was doing everything but turns out I need to do some more work and improve on it a little bit. Having better physical nutrition can be motivated by my goal to lose weight and become a healthier person. This is all connected back to the holism theory which states that for most needs to be motivated and have some motivation to improve on and they also need to be arranged on a hierarchy.…

“H-Hi… M-my n-name is…” I would constantly stutter like this when introducing myself on the first day of school every year in high school until 12th grade. This was the result of having terrible self-confidence and being introverted. I became introverted due to my move from Indiana to Alabama. I still have a love and hate relationship with this move. I love it for the fact that it showed to not take friends for granted.…

When I was younger, I struggled to support any friendships for an extended period of time. Before I moved to GCMS School district, I had previously attended three separate schools for the same few reasons. My parents could not afford to live where we did, one or both lost their job, or the environment was not suitable for our family. Moving so often made it difficult to keep in contact with old friends, and even more difficult to make new ones. As I was shy and introverted, it was an intimidating and terrifying situation.…

Final Field Project For this assignment, I chose to interview my boyfriend Michael Hook. Throughout the time we have dated, he has always been someone I’ve admired and continuously pushes me to become a better person in all aspects. I wanted to interview him because the story of his company, to me, is pretty commendable and an interesting topic to discuss. Considering we have been dating for over four years, there was no research needed to prepare for this topic; we have discussed his job various times. For the opening, I began by thanking him for agreeing to participate in the interview and taking the time to answer the questions fully and to the best of his knowledge.…

Gardening was a ‘forced’ hobby for a good portion of my childhood. Since elementary school, I worked with my dad in our back yard; I would dig holes, carry bags of manure, and plant flowers and trees. I complained that it would be easier to go to the store and buy a bag of blackberries instead of toiling in the sun for hours to achieve the same thing. I never imagined that I’d end up gardening for fun. Every year, my brother and I would collect the fruits of our labor; every year, I’d appreciate my efforts more and more.…
