I Love Enchiladas Suizas

Improved Essays
There are many things I love. Like the morning breeze that brushes my skin and makes my hair fly. I love sitting under a tree and reading on a chilly autumn morning. The warm feeling I get when my family is all gathered and having a great time at dinner. However, when it comes to food I absolutely love Enchiladas Suizas. This dish is very addicting because of the creamy sauce and the savory chicken that mixed together is like fireworks bursting with flavor. Another reason is because this dish induces good memories with my family and friends.

Love eating enchiladas because it always reminds me of my home in Mexico sitting in my grandmother’s kitchen and my family would always come over for supper. We sat all together and talked about our day. The best part was before my family and I began eating we prayed together and after we all had to say what we were thankful for. Another memory is, when I was re-united with my parents. I was seven years old and I came to Chicago on a plane from Mexico. I remember walking into the house my parents has recently bought and thinking I’m finally home. To my surprise my mom had made me Enchiladas Suizas. We prayed just as I was used to and we all thanked God for all the blessings in our lives. After a long time I finally had this sense of completion because the piece in my life that was missing to be completely happy was to be able to physically be with my parents. Another memory that I remember is when I was voted for captain on the Varsity team Lady Condors. I was so happy that my effort had paid off because being captain was very important for me. I liked the sense of responsibility and being able to help my teammates push forward towards our objective: winning. My dad made me Enchiladas Suizas because he wanted to spoil me, and to show how proud he was of me. The happiest moments of my life have been while eating this flavorful dish. Each bite that I take from Enchiladas Suizas is like re-living the moments that are dearest in my

Some of my favorite experiences were enjoying a Cannoli in Carlo's Bakery, picking apart frog legs on a cruise ship, and purchasing the tastiest jerk chicken from a native islander in a straw market on Tortola. But I do not always find my favorite options at restaurants. When I feel ambitious, which I often do, I will create a meal at my house. I find that my cooking often unites people. Every year on Christmas Eve, my aunt, my grandmother, and I spend the night creating Polish food staples like Pierogies and Halušky.…

They both came to the United States looking for what most people come to the United States for ‘The American Dream’, they wanted a place where they could raise their children and find a stable job.…
