I love America because we have many freedoms. America gives many gifts to my generation, like freedom of speech, freedom to own and fire guns, and the right to vote. What are your favorite gifts from America?

One of the three gifts that I chose, the freedom of speech. I love this gift because with the freedom of speech, I can express my mind whenever and wherever I want. Anyone in America can say what they want without worrying about getting into trouble. However, some people who speak their minds can start fights, like for example, rallies can get bad and can start some large fights. This is of the gifts that I chose because I value my freedoms.

Due to the human nature of self-defense, sport, and surviving, the second amendment will always remain relevant in society. Although there are many regulations as to who can own a gun, where they are allowed, and requiring a permit to carry and concealed weapon, the second amendment still protects and grants the right of the militia and citizens to “keep and bear arms”. In order to ensure that the government couldn’t take away the citizens firearms, the founding fathers preserved their right to self-defense with the ratification of the second amendment on December 15, 1791. In today's society, Americans are still trying to defend their right to bear arms.…

One of the most controversial Amendments today is the ‘Right to Bear Arms.’ As I get older, I see life a lot more differently and how the Amendments can either be used in our favor as Americans or hurt us. To be more clear, the ‘Right to Bear Arms’ is the second Amendment of the United States Constitution passed by Congress September 25, 1789. Ratified December 15, 1791, the first 10 amendments form the Bill of Right. It is a well regulated Militia; being necessary to the security of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.…

    Essay On Gun Control Laws

Gun control policies are a debatable topic within the United States. Over half of the homicide deaths each year are gun related, and mass shootings are becoming frighteningly frequent. Lawmakers currently debate over making restrictive gun control laws that will intensify the requirements to become a legal gun owner with hopes of preventing the thousands of deaths caused by shootings each year. Gun rights activists believe that the government is threatening their second amendment right to bear arms, and argue that restrictive laws will not reduce death and injuries associated with guns. Although tougher gun control laws may not put an end to gun related deaths, tougher gun control laws can reduce the violence promoted in American culture, thus curbing gang violence and helping keep guns out of the hands of people who could be a threat to society.…
