I have lived a thousand years

The book i haved lived a thousand is about the holocaust. I can honestly say that this book is one of the best I have read about the holocaust. Elli is a thirteen year old girl she has a brother named Bubi she talks about. She says he handsome, smart, and how he helpes out with his mom. she says he gets it from his momś side and her dadś side is ok but not like their momś side. She daydreams about her being a beautiful girl that writeś poems. She says she goes swimming in summer and watches boys play football (soccer) she was always happy. She was living a normal live until march 1944 she was sent to a concentration camp and had everything taken away from her. her privacy, her family, her friends, her school, everything. Life was bad at that time they would have to hide to have a chance to live the Nazis would gas them or just shoot them where they were because they had complete power over them. Kids would be taking a risk just going to school because they would take them. Today we hope that another holocaust would never happen again. The way she lived was a nightmare she was sent to Auschwitz concentration camp same as the famous journalist Anne Frank who died two weeks before the jews were let go and hitler surrendered. There was a riot the first night in Auschwitz because there were no beds each group of five got two army blankets and slept on the floor. It was hard for her to sleep because she was traumatized and she was uncomfortable with bodies touching her. The cold wind was blowing in so they were cold and she heard cries until she finally went to sleep. The riot led to something bad they were about to be gassed until a german guard came in and ordered them to lay down on the floor. This little girl was screaming “Mommy! Mommy! they are killing my mother!” she kept screaming until the guards came in and dragged her out while she is still screaming closed the
