I joined Finch Henry job corps to learn things about welding. I chose the welding trade cause it would be something I would love to do for a living I think I would be great at it and I think I could also get more experience after I leave Finch Henry. Skills you got to have to become a welder these qualifications offer learners the opportunity to develop their skills in a number of welding processes, metal fabrication, thermal cutting and brazing, soldering and pipe-layout. Welders are high-tech skill workers that can connect two pieces of steal together. Welders have to know the right temperature to set a machine. cutting and shaping metal is very important reason why is because 90percent of a weld is the set up. Welders are good at building ships, automobile, and putting a smooth finish on metals . They fix cracks, and seal in holes. You …show more content…
These task can be done stick welding, mig welding or tig welding. Another form of welding is brazing that joins brass or copper together. Another form uses solder to join segments of stranded wire together. Welders in the united states is $36,422 so 50% of the people who perform the job of welders in the united states are expected to make less than $36,422. Depending on your location and what kind of welder you are depends on how much you make pipe welders make 5,000 dollars a week. The location you are in matters also say if your located in Minnesota none experience welders make up to $12.57 a hour. There is another type of welder is off shore welder that can make up to $60,000 dollars after a few years of working on an oil rig that would be $100,000 or more. But working on the oil rig might not be for everyone because you would spend probably 6 months on the oil rig and would go home for a week and would be back working for another few months or
