I Know Me Analysis

Helping others is something that has always interested me, the person whose job you will be reading about is someone who is very strong with her work and someone who puts other people before them. I chose to shadow a very nice lady named Dana Clarke, she sits with my grandmother and is so amazing to her. I never knew how much somebody could make a difference in your life until Dana became apart of our big but somewhat small family. Dana continues to be one of the many role models that are in my life, she has a kind heart that's willing to help anybody and everybody if they need it. “I love making someone feel better, like I have had this thing that people respond to me because I'm gentle. It makes me feel good when people respond and God is …show more content…
When I first looked at that quote I didn't think much of it because I thought just knowing what someone does is knowing everything about what they do, I did not realize how wrong that was until I talked to Dana. Sometimes a person might think that someone works a job because they need to work but that is the complete opposite with Dana. The first question I asked Dana was, “Why do you choose what you do?” Dana replied “Because I like to help people who can't do things by themselves, it makes you feel good.” My advice to my peers after writing this paper is, not to judge someone for what they do right from the start. Not everybody has a strong work ethic but some do because they are hard workers who don't work just to work, they work because they like what they do and in this case they like helping others. It takes a strong person to work and be good at there job but, it takes an even stronger person who is mentally and physically stronger to be good at your job but actually enjoy

I Like You Just Fine When You’re Not Around by Ann Garvin is an interesting and creative story about a therapist whose life goes awry. The story is a hilarious yet accurate depiction of the rollercoaster life that everyone goes through. It is the character and the imagery that gives the story a fuller and richer experience. Joining “In the Know” is the best thing to have happened to me in highschool. We are essentially the school quiz team. Each week, the team gathers to have snacks and sharpen our knowledge of random facts through packets of questions. There is a Varsity and a Junior Varsity team, and I have been on Varsity for the past two years. Last year for our final tournament we won the District competition, and I am proud to say that I received an award for the amount of points I earned throughout the season.…

I am nerd. A videogame, comic book, and much more type of nerd. I call myself a nerd because these are subjects that I enjoy to experience and learn about. These subjects not only have brought me entertainment throughout my years, but they have also taught me important life lessons that I intend to carry through the rest of my life. For examples I have learned through super heroes in comic books such as Spiderman, Captain America, and Iron man that life can bring up difficult obstacles but by not giving up and giving your best you can overcome these obstacles and become a stronger person from it.…

    I Shall Not Hate Analysis

My favorite part of Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish’s presentation from a few days was his explanation for the title of his book I Shall Not Hate. He essentially said that using hatred blind ourselves from resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine. This is absolutely true and very applicable to many situations, we should not make ourselves blind with hatred, instead we should focus on the challenges that we need to accomplish. This can apply to getting a bad mark on a paper you worked really hard on, and the Israeli Palestinian conflict, because certain individuals have to face responsibilities. The responsibility for a student is to find the flaws in their work to prepare for future papers, and the responsibility of a citizen is to make a…

I am often struck by how often people throw around the words “I’m sorry” without giving much thought as to what these two small words actually mean. I do not know if you have really thought about the true meaning of them, so I would like to point them out. I’m sorry, means I am sorry; but, are you really? Sorry when we look it up in the dictionary means: wretched, useless, or pitiful.…

“Being Deep and Appearing Deep” “Whoever knows he is deep strives for clarity; whosoever would like to appear deep to the crowd strives for obscurity. For the crowd considers anything deep if only it cannot see the bottom: the crowd is so timid and afraid of going into deep water.” This quote asserts the idea that a person who is well read and knowledgeable knows to seek things on a higher plane of intelligence. While a person who wants to suggest that they are of the same caliber will do things wild and attention seeking to have the world believe that they are on that higher level. To go deeper into the point the quote implies that people will believe the wild interpretation of deep because if they cannot see the reason, means, or the why as to to what…
