From a biopsychosocial lens, a social worker might question if a child has Attention Deficit hyperactive disorder. However, children are not stagnant they are expected to be children. Children are hyperactive. I once was a child and I find it hard to sit still when something does not interest me. It does not mean that I have a psychological or biological problem when placed in a social environment.
On the other hand, I disagreed Prince on the no homework policy. I personally believed in home work. I believe that children should go home and test their understanding on their own and then go over it with the teacher to demonstrate their understanding of the material. I learned a lot from homework. Homework taught me responsibility and time management as well. Homework should still be given even if students do not have a common core curriculum for expectations.
