In the book I Heart You, You Haunt Me is a crazy book. It's about a teenage girl names Ava, and her boyfriend died in a horrible cliff jumping accident. A few days after the funeral Ava started to see his face in the mirror, but it was only for a second. To mourn the loss of your boyfriend Ava stayed in the house at all time and just slept . She can't bear to see her close friends Zoe, Jessa and Cali. Her three best friends keep trying to get her out of the house, but she won't because she feels the presence of her ex boyfriend in the house. Everywhere she goes in the house, she feels Jackson's presence. From the radio turning on and playing depressing music with feeling a cold gust of wind around her. Eventually Ava's parents make her go to the beach for 4th of July. One day she was walking on the beach and black lab runs up to her following behind was the dog's owner, his name is Lyric. They start talking and she feels these amazing feelings again. She feels alive. All of a sudden she remembers Jackson and it ruins her mood. She leaves in a hurry and he screams his email to her. The party is at the place where Jackson died. Its memorial to him now, called “Jackson's Hideaway.” Ava didn't want to go but Cali convinced her to. When they get to the party there are a lot of people there. Cali tells Ava, she has someone who she wants her to meet. Its Lyric. All of a sudden Ava starts having a panic attack, remembering the day she dared Jackson to jump off the cliff. She blames herself for it. She starts running up to all of her friends asking if they have a phone, but they don't have one of them. Lyric eventually comes up to her and tells her that he will drive her home.
