(INTRO)What does it mean to live in America? To many people, living in America is a privilege, and to some, those born and raised in America are considered blessed. But to very few, living in America is not the same as it once was. Back when America was about liberty, freedom and the people. Though the people is still a great part of America, the meaning of it has changed greatly.
(FUNCTION)It's only natural for humans to crave currency but how we spend it is what determines us. And that there is our blind issue that no one sees’s. The only men who can run our country are those who have the money to do so. Why the system is like this is because money is power. Now this does not only apply to America but to every country that has currency. In the poem I hear America Singing by Walt Whitman, it is written “Each singing to him or her and to none else.” This explains that every law abiding citizen has an everyday routine. In the poem “I, Too, Sing America” by Langston Hughes, the last line says, “They’ll see how ashamed I am and be ashamed I, too, am America.“ The story tells how a slave works his way from a slave to an ordinary citizen. How this compares is that we as America work our way up back our we once were, to the America we all miss and love. In the song “Valkyrie” by Varien, it is sung “I've been longing to find where I belong.” This line relates to what we say about our country and we have been waiting to see our America restored back to whole
