Although this knowledge may be considered unbelievably dumb, it makes sense. His contribution is being targeted towards skeptics, who, would respond, “Are you sure there are two hands in front of you?” or “How do you know that you are not actually hallucinating that you have two hands?” Moore claims that his argument proves that there is existence of an external world (“Proof of an External world, page 144). He proves this claim pretty much by holding one hand up, pointing at it, then raising his other hand up, shows proof that he has, indeed, two hands. This ‘experiment’ shows demanding proof that he has two, real hands. Therefore this “experiment” claims that the theory of his hands existing is overall proof of an external world.
