I have always felt the need to learn about different cultures in order to understand life, as it is quoted by, Mahatma Gandhi, “Culture of the mind must be subservient to the heart.” I immersed with the art so that I could become aware of the artist thoughts or feeling at that moment, as well as, the motivation the artist had to tell the story that was portrayed on the art. The Menil experience presented me with the opportunity to value the refinement of humanity and its art. The experience also gave me the opportunity to value the refinement of humanity and its art. Especially, since I live in a country where I am surrounded by different cultures as, art not only teaches me the story of humanity, but also draws feelings and ideas that cannot be written or expressed verbally. As history takes its course and civilization progresses, art lets me learn from our past so that I do not commit the same mistakes
