I have a daily gratitude journal in OneNote. Every morning I write what I 'm grateful for and then add to it whenever I feel like it throughout the day. There have been some powerful changes in my life simply because of gratitude, and I know it is one thing that can benefit everyone - no matter where they are in their life. Following are a few of those benefits.

Gratitude Removes Expectations

It 's not a bad thing to have positive expectations for yourself and your life, but when you hold onto 'one way or the highway ' type expectation, that 's when issues start to arise.

You may start to tell yourself that you can 't have what you want, or you may start to do unhealthy things to get what you want. Either way, it will affect your life negatively sooner or later.

When you are grateful, you appreciate the moment and whatever comes your way. It doesn 't have to be perfect. It doesn 't have to be exactly what you were looking for. It just has to be an experience, because you draw the good from it and make it an important and positive part of your life.

That act of kindness made her feel really good and she wanted to express her gratitude towards him. So, she didn 't just thank him for the tip, she told him exactly why it meant so much to her. She let him know that her job was dragging her down despite her love for waitressing. It turned out he owned a high-end restaurant nearby and he had an opening for a waitress. He offered more work hours, more pay, and more benefits. She took his offer and quit her job that same day. That was two years ago and she still works at the same restaurant. She is treated very well, unlike at the old job, and she makes more than many business professionals can make in an hour. It wasn 't luck that drew her into getting the job. He could have left and she would have never had the opportunity. Instead, it was the gratitude she felt that led her to approach him and create an opportunity for herself.

In short, being grateful can help you attract the life you want through your thoughts, choices, behaviors, attitudes, and circumstances.

Develop An Attitude Of Gratitude

Obviously a gratitude journal and expressing gratitude are both important for developing an attitude of gratitude (both of which I will talk about later on this blog), but other things can help, such as positive affirmations and even hypnosis.

Readers can find out how each article uses gratitude by using evidence. The evidence you can get from the story is when you find out that the guy is homeless, hasn't eaten for three days, and hasn't slept for two days. You can then infer that after the man takes him out to eat, that he would chow down his food which he did later on in the story. The homeless guy starts out being very thankful for his food, but then he starts to have terrible manners and unthankful. The evidence you can get from the poem is when it states some of the things you should be Thankful for but in a different…
