I Hate Chinese Class Analysis

Although I hate Chinese class, I am thankful for my parents forcing me to go in the first place because if I didn’t speak a second language, who knows where I would be right now. I used to think that learning another language was a waste of time, like, when would I even need it anyways? But I was proved wrong, when the knowledge of knowing a second language changed my life.

I remember in 5th grade, my teacher told my class that the district was administering a Chinese placement test. I first thought that I would never need to use those test scores anywhere but my mom convinced me to take the test anyways.     To promote the Gilman Scholarship and international education, I would like to visit my old high school and give a presentation to inform students interested in learning a foreign language on what it’s like to study abroad.
