Belinda: I had one gal on my team, this was when I sold jewelry, and this had nothing to do with selling jewelry, but she tied it into women. She invited a gentleman that did safety for women, like a self-defense type course. Like, little safety tips like, calling 911, and having a 911 poster in you are to put in your windshield. He actually sold those little safety packs that you put in your trunk for flares, and before cell phones were popular, just ways to get people’s attention if you were out and about for safety.
He taught you about walking out to a place and to have you keys ready, how to hold your keys , and taught you some basic self-defense moves. If you get a hotel that is working with you and organizing this, it is not going to get you a lot. When you come back from convention, and we talked about that, that is the one that I said I was so found of. Take your meeting on the road, which is also important. So, you do your post-convention meeting in your town, but then for like six weeks after that, I would go on the road and do a post-convention meeting as quickly as I possibly could, in the surrounding areas that I had big groups of people.
Obviously, if you have people all over different states, this can make it a little tougher, but this is where some big leaders that have one thousand people on their team, they decide right after convention that they are going to hit it, bomb, bomb, bomb, and they fly to all of these different areas. I would generally do my big one in my main area, and then do some small ones in the surrounding areas throughout Michigan, so that I could actually get their local hostess guests
