I Fulfill The Four Pillars Of My Life

I believe that I fulfill the four pillars in my own way. I am not the typical high school student, I do not classify myself or make myself part of a certain clique. Education is a very important part of my life, as it should be in everyone 's. However, it should not be the only thing we do as students. Junior year has proved to be as difficult as everyone claims, and the proof can be seen in our eyes. Throughout our life we are told that school is everything we have, we are labeled and classified by our grades, which in turn causes some of us to drive into the breaking point. What I have learned about school and life is that I should do what pleases myself, I do not have to push myself to tears to be someone great. I can be great, I can do extraordinary things and accomplish my goals if I believe in myself. I do not like to categorize myself as smart, to me it seems as if I am naming the rest of society as dumb. I do believe though, that I have a quality that not all students have, I am able to …show more content…
By volunteering a person is able to appreciate what we are given. Our family, our house, our clothes, our food, including our education. These are things that are often taken for granted, we grow up surrounded by it all that we do not ever take a moment to realize that not everyone has these resources. Volunteering has helped me meet new people, and it has been a key factor in building new friendships, Sharing and committing to an activity strengthens the bonds between individuals, increasing the development of social skills. These skills can later be utilized not only in school, but in life itself. As I volunteer, I receive a sense of achievement because I know i have helped make a change in the world.
