strongly about, while at the same time, I do respect men equally. Being a feminist is a quality about myself that I recognize influences that I will be as a counselor. I will have to be careful to not impose these views onto my students. Additionally, when making an ethically difficult problem, will have to be aware that these views are not clouding my ability to make an appropriate decision. Moreover, I am a part of a blended family. I am engaged to man with two daughters from a previous relationship. Therefore, at 23 years old I am a stepmother to two young girls. This new role influences the decisions that I make. Thus far, I have found that being a stepmother has taught me about patience. I have learned to gather my thoughts and myself before reacting to situations. Therefore, as a school counselor I believe that this will help me though the decision-making process. I also believe that being a part a part of these two young lives as encouraged me to make better decision in my life in order to be a possible role model for them. By consulting with other colleagues, while maintaining confidentiality, I will be challenged to think outside of the box. This will help keep me accountable in being a culturally sensitive counselor. For example, if I have tunnel vision on an ethical issue that I have strong views about, consulting with other counselors may help to open my eyes and make a more well rounded decision. In addition to consulting with others, I will weigh the option and consequence of the options. I am uncle to make confident spontaneous decisions. Therefore, being able to take my time and work through each option fits my personality. This decision making process of consultation and weighing the options will fit best for me when making an ethically sensitive
