I believe that I deserve assistance from the scholarship committee for numerous reasons. I am not like other people. I was brought up to be a very kind and respectful young man. I treat elders with respect such as addressing them as mister/misses or sir/ma’am. Another characteristic of mine is that I am hardworking. I started working when I was about twelve by mowing lawns. After doing that for awhile I got my first real job at Culver’s when I was sixteen and am still there today. It did not take me long to get a few raises and a promotion. I listen to direction well and try to complete my assignments to the best of my ability. Insubordination is not something I am known for. Punctuality is another quality I know that is important to management.
