Being Queen at a young age and being successful with my beauty, I still had many struggles. I am Cleopatra.My father was Pharaoh Ptolemy XII and my mother unknown. I was a smart person growing up. My name means “Glory of her Father” in Greek and I was my father's favorite child. I learned a lot about how the country was ruled from him. My family had ruled Egypt for 300 years. Even though my family ruled Egypt, we were actually Greek descents. I grew up speaking, reading, and writing Greek. Besides knowing Greek, I also learned many other languages including Egyptian and Latin.My Father Died When I was eighteen years old. This is how I met Caesar. When I met him I convinced him to help me win back the throne my brother had taken from me. Caesar defeated my brother’s army at the Battle of the Nile and my brother drowned in the Nile River while trying to escape. Then I took back my power.Ruling as Pharaoh Julius Caesar and I fell in love. We had a child named Ptolemy Caesarion. I rule with my other younger brother, Ptolemy XIV, and when he died, I ruled with my son Ptolemy Caesarion. I visited Rome and stayed at one of Caesar's country houses. With my romance with Caesar, it didn’t get in my way. I wanted Egypt to remain independent of Rome, so I built up the Egyptian economy and established trade with many Arab nations. I was a popular ruler among the people of Egypt because I embraced the Egyptian culture and the country was prosperous during my rule. In 44 BC, Julius Caesar was assassinated and I returned to Egypt. One of the three leaders to appear in Rome after Caesar's death was Marc Antony. In 41 BC,Marc Antony and I met and fell in love and we had three children, Cleopatra Selene II, Alexander Helios, and Ptolemy Philadelphus. We formed an alliance against another of Rome's leaders,
