I can always count on my grandparents with anything, from attending ballet recitals, to sitting in the soccer stands and not having a clue how the game of soccer is played. I can always count on my grandparents to be there. Without my grandparents, I definitely would not be where I am today. It all started in 1954 in a little town called Macon, Georgia. My grandmother’s name was Mildred Mathews, and my grandfather is Jackson Moore. My grandparent’s met while they were in high school, and I admire that they are high school sweet hearts. My grandparent’s attended different high schools. My grandmother went to Miller High School, while my grandfather went to Lanier High School. From battling diseases, to opening a very successful family business, I definitely think my family is hard-working. According to Google, hard working is defined as “(of a person) tending to work with energy and commitment; diligent.” Hopefully, one day, I will have my own classroom and I will be able to show and teach children that hard work really does pay off in the long run. I will always have energy in my classroom, and I will always be committed to my students and let them know that I am here to help them succeed. In my classroom, I am going to make it a positive environment and I am going to teach my children that you don’t necessarily have to make all A’s in order to succeed in the future. This is where hard work comes in because teaching students that hard work plays a big role in their future will hopefully make students want to work hard in my classroom. I have grown up my whole life playing and watching sports. My involvement in sports all throughout my life has rubbed off on me because it has made me who I am today, a team player. In my classroom, I am going to make sure that students interact with one another and learn about other student’s cultural background.
