Christopher Columbus Strengths And Weaknesses Essay

I believe the world is fueled by curiosity. Where would we be if Christopher Columbus had not been curious enough to sail across the Atlantic? We would probably be a hundred years late on the original timeline that was set. Where would the world be if people were not open minded? Theories would have not been created, theories shaped our education. If people were not persistent through life, then we would give up on every bump in the road and never solve issues. A world without flexibility would be a world without humans evolving.

Curiosity is one of my biggest strengths. My goal in life is to travel. There could not be anything more fulfilling than seeing every part of the world. I have already accomplished part my dream this past summer when I traveled to Europe. I explored seven beautiful countries for three short weeks. When I was twelve years old I began to take guitar lessons, and I was terrible. After three weeks of lessons I gave up. If I was persistent enough by practicing every day, maybe I would have became a famous guitarist (I said maybe). We have all at some point in our lives given up on something. I feel this is one of my weaknesses because if a situation does not work out in my favor I will give up trying. My mindset on these type of situations has always been negative. Although, I lacked in persistence for most of my life this past year when I was raising money to travel to Europe I found myself working harder than never before. During that summer I worked three different jobs, and when my senior year started work was very difficult. At times I found it impossible to work enough hours needed for my trip while completing all of my homework and assignments from school. There were moments I thought it would be easier to just give up, but I refused to let my dream slip
