It was a Friday evening, we had just finished soccer practice. It was nice, cool, and breezy out. The sun was soon setting and I was getting ready to leave. I ran over to my best friend, Zade, and told him how good he had done at practice. I went to my bag and started to take off my cleats and shin guards, when Zade’s dad, Amu Bassam, approached me and asked, who was taking me to New York tomorrow? I told him that my dad was taking me. He nodded, and told me that he was taking me home. I put my bag on my back and started to walk to the car, when my dad called me, I picked up the phone.
“How are you doing?” He asked me.
“Good, what’s up?” I said.
“Can I talk to Amu Bassam?”
“Yeah, no problem.” I gave the phone

When he dropped me off at my house, I said “See you Tomorrow.” I walked into the house, raced to my room and packed all my stuff. I was so excited for tomorrow, I played xbox with my brother for the rest of the night. I woke up the next morning and I was so thrilled, I got up took a shower, brushed my teeth, got my bags, took them downstairs, and ate breakfast. After I finished my breakfast, my dad gave me money to pay for my own food. When he arrived at my house, Zade, his son and my friend, came to the door and picked me up. I picked my stuff up and walked out the door. When I entered the car I greeted Amu Bassam, and got situated. I specifically remember how every ten minutes, or so Amu Bassam would ask me “how are you doing?” or “do you need anything?” This really touched me. After a long, and grueling 6 hour car ride, we finally arrived to our game. We played our game, and won 4-2, I scored a goal. After we finished our game, we went to Rochester Hills, New York. We checked into our hotel, and dropped our bags off. Went we …show more content…
Patiently, we waited for the waitress to serve us. Finally, a waiter helped us to our seats. We all pulled out the menus, and looked at the scrumptious choices. I decided that I wanted the traditional spaghetti and meatballs. As I recall, the food took forever to come, that could also be that I was so hungry and tired. At last, the food came, my food looked so yummy. My meatballs were as big as a baseball. I dove right in. I finished my whole meal. It was the best spaghetti I ate in my

When you hear something that is not quite right what are you supposed to do? For me this answer is very simple, say the right answer. If i am sure that i am correct on a matter i will put my foot down, i will argue my case until the opposing side submits and agrees with what i am thinking Although if i am not sure that i am one hundred percent correct i will not initiate the argument. With all of this i might not seem to headstrong but if someone believes i did something i did not do, well there is where the problem lies. I become one of the most stubborn people you could imagine.…

This I Believe Essay Draft I was 9 years old and my little league team was in the city championship for the second year in a row. We came into the game feeling strong about our team, thinking that nobody could beat us. The first few innings were pretty stress free, a few mistakes here and there but nothing major had happened yet. I believe it was the 3 inning and the score was tied 1-1 when we pulled our starting pitcher out of the game and put in our star pitcher, Duncan. What happened next was unimaginable, they scored 3 runs in a row.…

Monday, August 22nd, 2016, approximately 10 o’clock PM. I arrived home after a typical summer night out with my friends at the local Applebee’s, however I was greeted at the door by my already enraged father. Before I had time to take my shoes off of my feet, my father was already ridiculing me, spouting phrases such as “you’re so irresponsible” and “you cannot be trusted with anything.” Now of course there was some foul language included sporadically in those remarks, but overall I was shocked at why I was being attacked seemingly unprovoked. My father then decided to inform me that tomorrow at 8 AM I had to report to the soccer fields at Holy Ghost Preparatory School for soccer tryouts.…

It all started when I was in about fourth grade. A group of firefighters came to my school for a presentation. I remember vividly an intimidatingly burly fire marshall telling I don’t remember much about it, except that they told each of us that we needed an escape plan in case of a fire. I remember a story my mom had told me many times about a fire that devastated her family when she was a little girl. It made me shake in my shoes.…

Disbelieve and fear shook my mind as I lie on my back, sitting on top of concrete sandwiched in between the hot metal hood of a car, as the weight pressed down against me it didn’t hurt, my body was too numb to feel anything. All I could feel was a car pushing me further into the ground pushing my lungs down and shutting air out of it. It felt too surreal I kept blinking as if I thought I’d wake up from this mess. I could see sirens and people gathering around me watching in disbelieve, I kept fading in and out of conscience I felt like I was close to death.…

The first time I had an extended experience with religion was during my first year of high school. Many of the students at Trinity were different than I was. They had gone to Catholic schools their entire life and had grown up with religion, which was not a lifestyle I was used to. As a child, a specific religion was never instilled upon me. Of course, the concept of morality and other teachings typically associated with religion, such as humility, were fundamental lessons in my household.…

What I Believed Yesterday is Different Than Today When I was younger, I believed in a lot of things that I later found out to be either untrue or ridiculously childlike. I was raised in a family that originated from Africa to the Southern parts of the United States. All of my grandparents and great grandparents were born in Mississippi or Arkansas. For this reason, I was raised by a family of people that believes in superstitions. When I was younger, I could not comprehend why things happened certain ways.…
