I believe in taking pride in racing because it's not just a one man sport like people think it is. It is a team sport and also a trust sport. Why trust you may ask, you have to have faith in your motor builder your chassi builder yourself and if you're the one who is calling the shots on set ups. You have to know what you're doing. There's a chance i could melt the motor down or get wrecked or bounce off the cushion and flip and destroy everything on the car or get killed but it doesn't matter for the 10 or 11 seconds per lap are free and

Hi Mercedes. I've mentioned this in my other replies that I'm noticing a theme about the reasons as to why people from different countries migrated to the United States. It seems to be the common theme that people came here for new opportunities. It's interesting that this reason is shared amongst people from so many different cultures. The United States is painted as the land of opportunity.…

Fanatical About “Gordon” As a teenager I would think that watching a NASCAR race was about the most boring way to spend four hours or more every weekend; although every weekend my step-father would persistently watch cars race around in a circle. My opinion began to change in 1993 after a get-together with co-workers. They would get-together between the work weeks and grill out, drink beer and watch the race. In “93” I became a part of this ritual although I still didn’t care very much about the race I did enjoy the good food and camaraderie.…

Dare, A Regretful Education Have you ever wondered how the D.A.R.E. program worked in the United States? Well I can tell you this, if an officer that is involved with the D.A.R.E. program is trying to show you the impact of a substance, then why do you see them doing that same substance while off duty? They are either smoking a cigarette or guzzling booze until they are downright wasted, if this is the kind of inspiration that helps you stay away from substances, well it’d work better than what you’re learning from D.A.R.E. A multitude of people believe the D.A.R.E. program should be replaced with a different program that provides a new/better way to fight substance abuse, others believe D.A.R.E. should be able to help in the education…

A lot of people have asked me why i like motocross. Well, one of the reasons why is because you get to make new friends, and you can spend the night with each other. Another reason why is because i love the adrenaline, i mean you get to go out and race twenty kids that are faster than the speed of light, and you have to try to stay up with them. The thing that i love most about motocross is the fact that i get to share moments and have fun times with my family, motocross is actually known to bring families together. The last thing that i like about motocross is the sick trophies that you get if you get first, second, or third, but remember you have to…

Formula 1 cars emit approximately 2,400 gms of carbon dioxide (CO2) per mile (almost nine times as much as an ordinary new car today), that equates to 17 tonnes of CO2 per season. When air travel is included, this figure rises to 54 tonnes of CO2 per driver per annum. These figures point towards a startling discovery about how unsustainable motorsports are and how the World has turned a blind eye to an industry that functions at its own whims and fancies. But all hope is not lost yet, there are changes happening, just not fast enough. Motorsport has always occupied an important position in the industrialized World, historically, socially and commercially.…

It had already been determined for me that I was going to race motocross before I was born. Although my family has since moved on from racing, it had been everything for as long as I can remember. I clearly remember the loud and hectic Friday nights and the chaotic Sunday mornings spent at the track. The dedication we, my two brothers and I, had towards the extreme sport and the dedication our parents showed towards our passion will forever be apart of me. By the time I was born, my family had already tried many various forms of racing: BMX, snowcross, or snowmobiles, four wheelers, and dirt bikes.…
