I Believe In Procrastination

I believe in procrastination.

Procrastinating for me means creative panic or last minute inspiration.

In an ideal world I'd plan ahead and complete my tasks as soon as possible. Sadly, this isn't an ideal world and things happen.

Procrastination is something you're biologically predisposed to. The fact of the matter is, everyone procrastinated at one point or another. Whether it be that project you were given two weeks to complete or getting ready the final minutes before you have to leave as opposed to the hour you had beforehand, you still managed to put it off until the last minute.

I personally am plagued by the thing called procrastination and can't help myself from falling down the never ending rabbit hole that is putting things off.

While there's nothing wrong with wanting to have things a certain way, imagine being a perfectionist and a procrastinator all at once. I can tell you from experience that it's not fun, but once you learn how to cope with it, it becomes a helpful resource in your everyday life.

Due to my neurotic control freak tendencies, leaving things last minute means I don't have much room for pressure of having to do things right the first time, it being the only time I have to complete the task at hand.

Being the indecisive mess that I am means wasting valuable time deciding on small details much less deciding on the big things that will impact my work. Thankfully, my procrastinating nature makes the organized control persona within me come out and take control of the situation creating if not my best, my most brilliant work.

Take this essay for example, I was going to take the generic route about how I believe in something as abstract as happiness but since I decided to start this a little later than I should've, I gave myself more time to mull the thought over and I believe that my last minute inspiration kicked in and gave me what I think is a creative and humorous topic to
