I Believe In Change And Self Determination Essay

I believe in change and self-determination. When I entered high school, I was the kind of person who never studied and always did everything last minute. I soon realized that I could not be successful with that habit, so I ended up changing that and improved my study ethics. So the reason I believe in change is because when I need to change something about myself, my surroundings, or something that truly needs it, I can change it. Throughout my life, I had found times when I would be talking to someone and I would do something that was uncalled for and I would realize that if I did not want to lose them I would need to change that part of me. Even if it was just something small, there is always something that will need to be changed in order to make me a better person and more successful in my future. Change is a major belief in my life because I know if I can change that I can always be prepared for whatever the world may throw at me. Throughout my life, the world has thrown me many curve balls and for me to be able to overcome, I would have to change my outlook on that situation. But, with the belief of change I have been able to overcome every obstacle in my way. This is why I believe in change.

Without my strong beliefs in those two key factors of my life, I truly believe that I would never accomplish any great obstacles in my life or ever amount to anything great. To be able to change, I must have the self-determination and I must believe I can change. I think that change and self-determination have created the biggest impacts on my life. These beliefs have made me who I am today. Self-determination and change will also help shape me in the future into the best I can be as long as I do not give up on my beliefs and never quit trying.
