For example in the movie Charlie is a social awkward, shy , and unpopular high school freshman, kind of like the speaker in the poem. Charlie is coping with the suicide of his close friend Michael as he starts his freshman year of highschool. As the story progresses Charlie connects with Bill his english teacher who helps him get over his shyness and helps meet new friends; Sam and Patrick. The movie kind of connects to the poem because before Charlie met his new friends he was just a bystander who was just letting life fly by and making the most of his life. For Example,” How public-like a frog-”( Dickinson, 6) Dickinson uses frogs and refer to them as Somebodies or public figures because they are consistently croaking in the swamp, reminding all the other frogs of their identities and location. Dickinson compares the two because celebrities or public figures are always letting people know who they are and they constantly want to be recognized by others. When frogs making the croaking sound there just making noise,” To an admiring Bog”(Dickinson,8) that no one really cares about there saying kind of like how celebrities make public appearances. People don't really care about what they are saying because they don't really make or have an impact on the world. The definition of bog is where frogs live and can also mean something that slows you down. This can contribute because caring about what others think can make you not live out others lives and not yours, thinking of others and not thinking about yourself. Phrasing the “admiring bog” can devote to what Dickinson is putting an emphasis on it is better to be a nobody than a
