Pros And Cons Of A College Essay

In order for a person to become successful, he or she must have the motivational drive within themselves to overcome their fears and accomplish their goals. As Les Brown once said, “… Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.” As a current freshman in college, something I am currently struggling with is knowing when to give myself a break when it comes to studying. This definitely separates me from the majority of freshman students because I unlike the others do not procrastinate. I would define myself as an individual who is hard-working and determined. I am my biggest critic. This comes with its pros and cons. Another way I can get involved at school is to get a job at the University, but I did not want to add on any stress because I have another job outside of school. I do plan on being employed at school though, since I feel as if that will help me to develop skills when communicating with others as well as meeting with other administrators. It will allow me to establish a name for myself and have a good reputation through word of mouth. Involving myself in college is something I want to do because it will allow me to develop many connections with different types of people and organizations. Joining a sorority will hopefully mold me into an even stronger/dedicated woman who is not afraid to take risks and face her fears.
