I Am Malala Research Paper

For many decades Middle Eastern countries have dehumanized women through education, marriage, and jobs. Women in these countries normally do not complete their education, while men do. Women are taught how to be good wives and how to take care of children, while men are taught everything they need to know in order to get a job. Within the novel I am Malala, Malala Yousafzai explains her experience in the Middle East and how it inspired her to become a major role model for education, equality, and determination within the western and eastern regions of the world. Malala was continuously informing the public that education should be a right instead of privilege. She also fought for women to be treated as equals within the Middle East. Due to her suggestions and accusations the Taliban did not agree with her actions and ordered her to be shot. She was shot in the head and suffered lots of mental and physical damage, causing her to be sent to the United States for care. As soon as she was sent to the states, she became a major role model for education and women’s rights. Thousands of people across the nation were cheering for her to survive. She was a living example of determination to never give up on what is worth fighting for and “that education is the best drone to combat the radicalization of people in underdeveloped tribal areas” (Fazl-E-Haider). Due to her determination and self-motivation she survived the Taliban's attack and continued to fight and stand up for education rights and women’s rights. Today she influences the education standards within western culture, and she brings awareness to the problems that should be solved. By informing more people of the issues with the Middle East she is influencing a cultural change within that
