I Am Malala Character Analysis

“I Am Malala”, takes readers on an inspiring journey through Malala’s life, which they can relate to ,as Malala struggles keep up her voice while voicing for others.Christina Lamb, the co-author, beautifully captures Malala’s personality by foreshadowing and various connections .She and Malala do this by narrating Malala’s story in first person. Malala Yousafzai and Christina Lamb used foreshadowing to show how Malala had already paved her path, and only has to walk in it now.Toor Pekai gave birth to Malala few months before Pakistan’s fiftieth anniversary,for which Ziauddian participated in a sit in ,to show how “Swat had only suffered since it merged with Pakistan” (Yousafzai &Lamb55).This …show more content…
If you do not fall in the battle of Maiwand ,By God, someone is saving you as a symbol of shame” (Yousafzai&Lamb 14).The men on the battlefield got motivated by her powerful words, and tried to fight harder.Malai was from a humble,poor Pashtun background similar to Malala’s. Both tried to use their words to encourage others to fight(literally and figuratively),and are well-known teenage heroines, known for their bravery. The two were also greatly honored,Malala received many accolades ,and Malai got buried with the martyrs of the war.Another leading lady mentioned in the book is Benazir Bhutto, the first female Pakistani president “and first in the Islamic world” (Yousafzai&Lamb 44).The only thing Bhutto second in was being Malala’s second role model, as Malala’s father was her first role model.Bhutto’s father influenced and taught Bhutto a lot, and their relationship is similar to Ziauddian’s and Malala’s .Also Benazir was the first,prominent female in Pakistan’s politics, and Malala was like the Benazir in Pakistan’s education platform. I enjoyed reading this well written book that gave me a
