In the novel, I Am legend, the vampires go through various adaptations from the current normal to help them develop culturally, environmentally, and evolve to become the new normal. Various changes happen to help advance the development of the new normal. Some examples are how the vampires are able to go out into the light without getting hurt, the advancement of having more of a human language and culture, and even learning about the threats in the world that could potentially hurt them. While the conflict between the vampires and Neville also teaches the new society how to handle the conflict of a force that could potentially wipe them out.
The new society began with the bacteria itself infecting the humans to be its new host and to be able to continue to live. Yet, Neville and the readers do find out that bacteria can mutate and is adapting to the current world to live without having the bodies of the host dying at an early stage. This also solves the issue for the vampires to be able to go out while it’s dark and also while the sun is out through evolution. Not only this, but the mutation can pose as a defense against anyone who would try to create a cure for returning the new normal back to the old, just like how Neville realized that it is a bacteria that will continue to mutate against his cures.

There are many phrases used throughout 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho; one that impacts the plot of the book greatly is 'Personal Legend.' This phrase is first mentioned when Santiago, our main character, and a King by the name of Melchizedek first meet. Melchizedek explains that Santiago had 'finally succeeded in discovering [his] Personal Legend' (page 21). A person's Personal Legend is 'what [a person] ha[s] always wanted to accomplish,' (page 21); more specifically, it is 'one's destiny' (page 22). Although 'everyone, when they are young, knows what their Personal Legend is... as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them it will be impossible for them to realize their Personal Legend' (page 22).…

My Michigan Hero Essay If I had to describe how I feel the only way I can is by saying that I feel like a pane of glass that's been shattered and put back together with ductape that doesn't stick, or like I'm drowning in my own depression. One person has always been able to bring me back to a little bit happier state, that person is my 53 year old grandpa who is also a tow truck driver, a semi driver, and a fireman. My grandpa has always been special to me because no matter what I do or how I feel he can manage to put a smile on my face. I remember going to my grandpa's "adopted" parents (Flourence and Neal's) house which also happens to be who he works for when he's driving tow trucks.…

I believe all curiosity stems from the individual trying to understand the world they were placed in: for those humans who are supplied with a sufficient amount of religion which dictates rigidly what the world is - they are sated. For those humans who reject religion usually spend the rest of their lives accumulating a set of facts and philosophies that define the world for them. This is the same path in which the supercells went about understanding their "Super-host", their "Super-mother", their "galaxy", their God - Vergil Ulam. After all the improvements were made to their habitat, they moved on to making the world more hospitable for themselves and to do so they had to understand their environment. They made their way to the brain in hopes…

A couple years ago I was a completely different person. I was out of shape physically, my academic performance was very poor, and I had a terrible attitude.
