I Am Legend Family

In I Am Legend, family is a strong symbol throughout the entire movie. The aspect of family is very noticeable. Family is needed in everyone’s life, and most all of us have a family with which to grow up. In the Bible, it talks about family and say siun part, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart will be also.” (Luke 12:34). This verse relates to the movie because family is treasured by the main character, Dr. Neville. He does everything to provide for other families since he no longer has one. A family provides for its members, offers protection, and helps form relationships. It provides love, stability, and contentment. To begin with, one idea of the importance of family is the provider of safety and protection. Evidence of this from I Am Legend comes from the scenes where Dr. Neville boards all of his windows and locks all of his doors, then hides along with his dog. He feels safe in his home, with the protection of something there with him. His dog provides companionship and comfort at the time. The point I am making in this paragraph is that when you are with something or someone else, you have a feeling of safekeeping and protection, an important aspect of family.
The next idea is that family is important in helping us

This shows through the daily challenges that Dr. Neville is put through. In the end he sacrifices for others by giving his own life just like a family member would do for others in his family. Whether it is caring for and protecting his dog or providing for Ana and Ethan, characteristics of a family stand out. Family is very important to Neville, and this helps people who watch this movie believe the powerful significance of protecting, providing for, and developing relationships with others just as a family should do. Family is needed to protect us, love us, and provide for us. In return, we give these things back to our family, our
