Dystopian describes an imaginary society that is as dehumanizing and as unpleasant as possible. A dystopian can be in a post-apocalyptic setting. It could be that the necessity for life or a force that you can not control is a threat to your survival on a regular basis. The key aspect of a dystopia represents North Korea since it’s in a Prison State.
The movie I am Legend by Francis Lawrence it is set in a dystopian society and it is a post- apocalyptic movie. It is about a military scientist named Robert Neville who thought he was the sole survivor in the world. He is located in New York City,ground zero, and he is accompanied by his dog named Sam. A plague kills most of the humanity and everybody else turned into zombies. Robert has a decent life, he has food,water and the essential to live. However, Robert is working on a cure for humanity for the virus even though he has no responsibility to do so. He also wants to reach other humans that survived. He could be killed by the infected at anytime.
Station 11 by Emily St. John Mandel takes place in the Great Lakes region. A swine flu pandemic wiped out 99% of humanity and left 1% left alive. There 's a of group of actors and musician known as the Travelling Symphony. The Travelling Symphony travels around the area to perform Shakespeare “A Midsummer Night 's Dream," "Romeo and Juliet”. The main character is Kirsten Raymonde and she is part of the Symphony. She is a eight year old child actor and she is obsessed with Arthur…
