The documentary I choose to watch was I am Jane Doe, which discuss cases of human trafficking in the United States. This film chronicles the legal battle that several mothers had against Backpage.com for allowing children, like theirs, to be trafficked for sex. Many of these women’s children were only in their early teens that either ran away or were kidnapped and sold for sex. As a result, these teens were abused, tormented, sold repeatedly, and forced to take drugs. Most of them suffered from depression and other psychological issues that were a result of what they had gone through. They also blamed themselves for what had happen to them. In addition, the documentary tells the story of mothers who take on a legal battle against Backpage.com
