My Goals In My Life

Decent Essays
Getting asked where I am going with my life is definitely one of the hardest questions I have ever had to answer. However, being a freshman in college, I have had to think about this many times and really focus on what I want to gain from my life. Even though people always say that life never goes as planned, I believe that if I work hard and stay on the right track I can, and I will, have the life that I have always imagined for myself. There will always be challenges and obstacles I will have to face, but I have full confidence that I will overcome them. I have thought about many big and small, work and non-work related goals that I plan to accomplish within the next few years of my life.
Starting with the small, non-work related subjects, I have a few things that I would like to accomplish with my time here in college. First, I definitely need to dig deeper into my creative and artistic side. I have always loved doing “artsy-fartsy” things in my spare time, and I crave the satisfactory feeling of a

As I found the other day through our engagement exercises in the recreation center, I am definitely not a follower. I am a leader and I stride to be heard. I love using critical thinking skills to solve a problem. I believe that this skill is necessary and will help me in all areas of life, to include the career path I want to follow. Being a Human Resource Manager of a company is a very important job and is the number one goal for my life. A couple of my work values include security and status, two major keys that come along with being a Human Resource Manager. If I am higher up in a company, or really anything I’m involved with, I have more motivation to do it, thus I will put forth 100 percent of my effort. I plan to have an internship in this field of work by my junior year of college, and hopefully a full time job soon

My Personal Goal Statement Every day I wake up, I ask myself how I can make a difference. This question has helped shape my personal values and principles and directed my path into the nursing field. Growing up in West Africa and witnessing firsthand the sufferings and impoverishment of the people around me, I developed a sense of compassion and willingness to make a difference and help alleviate their sufferings and put a smile on their faces. Healthcare delivery and poverty are two major underlying factors in the challenges faced in Africa, thus, when I got an opportunity to come into the United States, it was my golden ticket to finally give back to the community and make a difference. This led me into the nursing field; I started out as a Certified Nurse Assistant.…

The main reason why I think that HACC is the best choice for me is because of the cost. The rates per credit are around $250 and that is for in-state residents. The total cost for a commuter would be around $13,750 for a student who is full time, which means they are taking 12 credits per term (Stager). This price of $13,750 includes the price of books, supplies, food, and transportation and it is an average price for all HACC students (HACC.edu). I think that I could easily cut some of the cost by trying to buy my books online for a cheaper price or even eating at home to save a lot of money.…
