Well “I am eleven” is a filmed documentary on eleven-year-olds all around the world. It asks the children in the documentary how they feel towards topics such as love, bullying, war and what makes them different compared to other 11-year-olds. The children in this documentary vary from wealthy to orphans to poor children.
“3 Wishes” is a written documentary of Palestinian and Israeli children who are affected by the war. Many of which were in poverties, or traumatised. They asked questions such as how they …show more content…
Although both documentaries focus on children they have a different way of documenting them. Another difference is the type of questions they ask the children there are some that are the same such as what they think about war and what they want to be although most are different. 3 wishes also had more facts and made the reader feel sorry for the children in it were as in I am eleven it was reasonably happy and didn't have any facts. Also having 3 wishes on paper helped so you could re-read part easily. I am eleven, unlike 3 wishes, didn’t do one big section of one person then on to the next, they cut and pasted bits of the child throughout the documentary I also found it cool how it went and did a bit more filming with the children when they had grown up a bit.
The diversity of the children in each of the documentaries are different too because I am eleven has children from a lot of different countries and had different lifestyles whereas 3 wishes it was a bit repetitive and they focused only on Israelis and Palestinians I am eleven didn’t have any children that had been in a war or that were traumatised were as 3 wishes focused only on that. One of the things I think was better in I am eleven compared to 3 wishes is going back later to revisit some of the
