By making them feel more like equals than subordinates, I can help to mold and condition them to understanding the classroom rules so we can minimize any possibilities of disruptions. As a future educator, it would be irresponsible for me to think that one motivational technique would work for every student. Some people will work better after receiving praise for doing a good job or if they get some type of recognition in front of their peers. Others work better if they know that something is “in it for them”. Many students are just not going to want to do the work no matter what you do to make the lesson more fun. For these students, I would use a reward/punishment type of technique. I personally do not think that I would use bribes or threats, but as a reflective practitioner I also do not want to say that I would
