I 'VE MET THE LOVE OF MY LIFE

Two weeks, maybe three, I 've known this girl Maddy and I 've already fallen for her. Except there 's only one problem, She can 't leave her house, or so I thought. One very late night I heard a soft tapping on my window, tap...tap...tap,tap,tap. It was too irregular to be a tree branch knocking against the window, and too constant to be just a bird passing by. When I finally looked out to see who was there, it was none other than the girl from across the street, the one who told me she could never go outside, Madeline Furukawa Whittier. I remember almost jumping out the window to see her, my head was bursting with thoughts, why would she go outside?, does she love me that much?, I can’t wait to see her, and

Then, I met with my long time friend Zachariah. Maddy, Zachariah, and I met at a favorite restaurant of his, supposedly it’s local favorite, we were all enjoying our time together until he said to me “So, Olly, tell me, do you...um… still use the needle like you did? I noticed we now had the attention of everyone in the restaurant and knew Maddy and I had to leave. I practically had to drag her out of the restaurant, once outside she turned to me with tears in her eyes “Olly, what is it you aren 't telling me” “Ok, fine, if you want to know the truth I guess I can’t hide it from you forever. I’m… I’m a recovering heroin addict, …show more content…
“Maddy, if it means anything to you, whenever I’m with you, the urge to use goes away, I rarely ever have to use the rubber band, it’s because of you Maddy that I can stay clean, you’re like an angel Maddy, someone sent from the heavens to protect me.” It was at that point that Maddy finally looked up and cleared the tears from her eyes “Thank you for the Olly, thanks for calling me your protector, and please,
