I also learnt in class about the different clientele we would potentially work with. Such as, those of different religions, races, the developmental disabled, children, adults and the elderly. What amazed me was the list of workplace settings was so much greater. Everything that I had ever wanted to do was structured into one degree. Once their refugee benefits run out some aren’t yet fully integrated into their new society. It can be hard for some and they start to suffer. This is why I want to work as refugees. They have a hard time fitting into society. Some come here with degrees higher than me but can only find a job with a pay rate lower than me. Most of the newer refugee population have a hard time finding housing since property owners are meticulous with who they rent out to. People who have been kicked out of their home countries shouldn’t have to live that way. They should be able to be given the opportunity to live a comfortable life. Once again, this leads to being shown in the direction of community resources including resettlement agencies, such as the English Language
