Did I really want to be what I’m going to school for? I didn’t always want to be an accountant. I used to want to be a wedding planner until I figured out I have no creative mind when it comes to designing the perfect wedding. If I can change my mind then, I can change my mind now. According to what I value I believe becoming a lawyer would be a possible career choice for me. When picking a career, I would have to determine what I’m looking for in that career, for example values. I have a value for a high salary. I want a job that will always leave me financially stable. Trying to make ends meet every month is not stability to me, that’s just survival. I don’t want to have to worry about surviving, I want to know that I will. My mom struggled …show more content…
After earning my bachelors, I will have to complete four years of Law school by first passing the admissions test. Next I have to earn a Juris Doctor degree (JD) which is the broadly perceived degree for specializing in legal matters in the United States and is right now offered by 205 ABA-certify graduate schools. Finally, I have to pass the Bar exam where I will then obtain a full legal license to start off my career. From here I can explore my opportunities, but for lawyers they start of as associates and work their way up. So, what does lawyers …show more content…
Achieving all I can and more to become who I want to be and do what I always want to do. That trip to Paris I’ve always wanted to take, I can now take it, that’s success. Still, how do I become a successful lawyer? In my opinion there is no true answer to this question, it’s whatever I feel success is to me. I have to know what I value and add that to what I’m looking for in success. On Wikihow website it says to become a successful lawyer I have to know the law, learn essential skills, and show civility to clients, colleagues, and judges. I can do all three and still not feel as great as I know I can be. Yet, being great and being successful are two different things. On All About Law website, they state that in a perfect world extraordinary attorneys would likewise be successful legal counselors. Unfortunately, numerous extraordinary legal advisors are not successful (and now and again the best legal counselors aren 't really great attorneys).
