Something I didn’t expect myself to say in my entire life was, “I want to be a high school english teacher when I grow up.”. In the past year, I’ve gone from wanting to be a chef, as I love cooking, to a psychologist, as I love helping people to understand their feelings and recover from depression and other mental diseases, to, finally, a high school english teacher. I love helping people learn and I’ve gotten to help many since most school subjects come to me easily. I considered elementary school teaching, but I do not have the patience to teach kids brand new ideas everyday and cultivate their creativity, so I decided teaching kids who already know how to do most of the things they need to know is better for me. Without the English teachers, communication would fall apart as people write different from others, which makes it difficult for people to completely understand what they are trying to communicate. Always providing feedback prepares the students for criticism. Of course, most people will understand what is being communicated, yet missing a word could mean the difference between agreeing and disagreeing, which you need to be clear about in the business world. Along with always teaching the new generation to communicate, English teachers also have the benefit of showing students exactly what it is they are looking for and what is not being looked for. Going along with showing the students what they are looking for, they can also know if the students are learning by purposefully making mistakes to see if they catch them. The overall benefit to the world is that the teachers will be encouraging the students to communicate in clear and concise ways and stay connected with the
