I have always just been friends with the boys, not girls because I don 't have time for drama or like drama, so living with 4 other girls I have never met before was a stressful thought for me to wrap my head around. I was never nervous about the academic transition to college because I took every college course offered at my school so I was used to college classes and the amount of work that you have to put in to be successful in the classes. The professors do try to remember your names, they are nice, they are not scary, I love my roommates, I love Amherst, I love not having my parents with me every second bossing me around, and I love the campus energy. I still miss my friends and family so much but I have new friends now and I am making a new home for myself. Daemen is now my home away from home and I can be proud of myself and hopefully influence the underclassmen at my high school to know that picking a college is hard and stressful so if you are not sure about a college don 't just settle for the school if you don 't love it because everyone else already knows, slow down think about it and it will all fall into place.
