I am Jessica Catherine Stephens. I am a small leaf apart of a large family tree. I am the daughter of a strong-willed southern belle and a hard-working northern gentleman. I am a mixture of beliefs, styles, and personalities I’ve encountered throughout my life. I am a younger sister to a slowly calming daredevil. I am a proud mother of two, a Cairn terrier mutt named Charlie and an aging sassy cat named Missy. I am a retired girl scout and participant of many sports-none of which I was good at. I am fighting no one in particular, more of an imaginary thought. I am a survivor of high school and its tendencies to cause me stress. I am very timid, less than I was before, but still shy. I am not one to volunteer. I am one to mix corn and dog food in a toilet to get out of seeing people. I am not one to be excited for social outings, including school. I am one to be used as a doormat. I am one to be taken advantage of. I am one to shut people out to prevent it. I am usually not a happy person. I am judged a lot and not usually understood by everyone else. I am a person who’d much rather prefer to be alone than having to be around other people. I am strong.
