I Am A Dynamic Learner

Improved Essays
Hello,

After taking the Learning Connections Inventory, my overall score says I am a dynamic learner.

Sequence: I scored a 32 and this is my Use First.
I tend to use the sequence pattern a lot while at work. My desk at work is very clean and organize. I have my schedule typed out hour by hour from 8 am until 4:30 pm on what I need to do for the day. I get frustrated when staff members come in and stop me from working on whatever is in front of me to help them. It really bothers me when people change the way things work after I was told to do another way. Just last week at work the district office made some changes on the way our request to go on field trips. I problem would have been okay with the changes, if it was not mid semester. There

When communicating with my husband, I am always asking him questions and wanting more details about whatever I may be asking. For example, I may ask my husband if he paid the phone bill, then I may ask when and where. It is not that I do not trust him. I just need to know details just in case I am asked a question about the phone bill, I will be able to answer it with confidences. I also ask my mother a lot of questions about what is she doing, where is she or why did she not call me,. I do a lot of research on google about everything such as, how to clean the shower glass, home remedies for a cold, or places to …show more content…
I am the one everyone calls to fix the computer or copy machine at work. Everything in my home that had to be put together was done by me. I find myself getting lost in whatever I may be working on. What I mean by this is, I will not stop working until I have fixed the problem or finish building on whatever the task may be. I like to work alone on projects when it comes to hands-on. I get frustrated when people do not know what they are doing or how to fix it.

Confluence: I scored a 20 and this is a Use as Needed.
I am a risk taker only when it comes to having fun. I will not take risks when it comes to my job, but if I have to make a decision about work I will. I teach praise dance at my church and this role requires me to be a leader. I am in charge of finding music, dresses, and networking with other churches to perform for their events. I can 't see myself avoiding this area because I am capable of being a leader and have people following my lead. I just want things to be done in the right way to have success the first time

Personal Learning Theory There are different learning theories that people use as they acquire knowledge and new learning. Moreover, a person can have more than one learning, but this depends on his leaning abilities; the learning program used in the institution he is enrolled to; and the content of the knowledge he is about to learn. Therefore, it is vital and teachers, students, and learning institutions administrators are able to understand that people do not learn in the same way. Further, the educators should be aware of the various teaching strategies he will use because a certain strategy may be effective to one student, but it does not apply to the others. For the purposes of this paper, my personal learning theory is the andragogy…

Out of all 5 of my talents, Learner describes me the best. As cliché as it may sound, I really have a passion for learning. But my passion for learning extends far past just the usual sitting in class taking notes, or the usual memorization of subjects, instead it really reaches out to deeper depths where I really seek to master everything that is put into my head. I am not okay with only touching base on subjects or barely treading the surface of topics, rather I have to really dive into the text and pay close attention to all the details in order for me to grasp what is going on.…

Learning can be interpreted in many ways to different individuals, although to me learning is about gaining knowledge and embracing every experience encountered and linking it to any task. Also I would explain that being open minded is a strong attribute to apply during the learning process. During my week one I stated that learning is to open and broaden an individual’s mind on subjects to gain knowledge or skills, and I’ve grown to realize its more than that. People can learn using different methods and be more responsive to one rather than the other. I am a Strong-Willed learner.…

Using the 5 dynamics tool, I discovered several working style characteristics about myself that I really had not previously thought about. The application of this new knowledge will improve the way that I work with other people in my education, my career and in my personal life. For example, I learned that if I partner with others whose strength and weakness are different from mine, working together as a whole we will obtain better results than we will if we work separately. Furthermore, I learned that each team member brings different strengths to the project thereby producing a more balanced result. As a result of taking the 5 dynamics assessment, I discovered that I have valuable strengths that are especially beneficial in developing…

Being effective sometimes means that you have to switch to-and-from a number of different projects, and ultimately to be able to finish them. When emergencies and unforeseen circumstances occur, this can cause a lot of confusion and panic; being able to stay calm and ad-dress these situations, in a timely and appropriate manner is vital in a ministry…

Lifelong learning is extremely important, especially in the medical field. Lifelong learning is a process of seeking, retaining, and applying information learned, that will continue throughout our lives here on earth. As nurses, learning must continue so that we are able to maintain the knowledge we have but also be able to grow and learn new things because the environment that we work in, is forever changing and we must be able to change with it. We could only imagine how healthcare would be later on in the future if nurses and doctors only relied on the knowledge they obtained during nursing and medical school. Learning does not stop once school is over with, but it is continuous and required way beyond graduation.…

When I first began this class I thought that this would be just another introductory class that is required to orient you to the expectations of the particular college. Now, after completing this class, I know that this is not the case. Personal Dimensions of Learning has been a great help, not only to my school work, but also in my daily life. Before taking this class, I thought that learning, and completing daily tasks, were mostly memorizing the order of the way things are supposed to be done and just completing the task. I never liked this strategy, but it always seemed to be the most convenient way to get things done at school, home, and work.…
