I am a Brunswick County resident who was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, then raised all over Brunswick County, from Leland to Ash. This is my second year attending Brunswick Community College. My long term educational goal is to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Psychology. I haven’t decided which one I enjoy best at the moment. I plan on getting my Bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. But first, I am finishing up getting my Associate in Arts degree at Brunswick Community College. Then I will transfer to UNCW for my continuing studies. My life time goal is to improve and balance myself in as many dimensions of life as possible and to improve the standard of living for myself through a higher education. I definitely learned some valuable rules to live by on my journey. First, you must work hard to achieve your goals. Second, you must never ever give up working for your goals. Third, that anything is possible if you try hard enough. I apply those rules to my life every day. Being alone in the world is not easy. I will do anything to know I have a good and stable future coming my way. I realized early on that the only way to ensure my future was through a higher education for myself. Knowing that was the key factor to happiness was a major reason I fought so hard to enroll at Brunswick Community College again in 2014. Brunswick Community College has helped me to realize even higher goals than I could ever have imagined for myself. I had always loved the courses. I do realize that I must take it one step at a time. Currently, I am taking fourteen credit hours. I have completed thirty-nine credits with a cumulative GPA of 3.2. Although I do get awarded Financial Aid, my financial situation is not the
