But in this case the only girl who showed symptoms of Hysteria was Abigail she start getting those weird thoughts at the end of Act I Abigail was talking to Mr Hale and she said “I danced for the Devil; I saw him; I wrote in his book.”(Miller, 48) She supposedly “danced with The Devil”(Miller, 48) or she “saw him” but we don’t really know that such thing exists there is no proof or something to backup that theory. So we can conclude that Abigail was suffering from Hysteria or maybe another mental illness who can really know, the point is that her influence on the “afflicted girls” was tremendous just for being Mr Parris daughter. In the Act III John is on the courtroom with Mary Warren, Parris, Abigail and the rest of the girls, they are arguing to get Elizabeth out of jail, Mary tries to proof that she “accidentally” left the needle on the poppet but thing certainly didn’t work Abigail soon start pretending; “Oh, Mary, this is a black art to change your shape. No, I cannot, I cannot stop my mouth; it’s God’s work I do.”(Miller,
